2024 Exam RESULTS
考级结果
The results of the 2024 Examination will be determined by end of January to mid-February. Candidates who DID NOT pass will receive an email notification in before February 2025. Candidates who passed will not receive an email. Due to the pandemic and shipping restrictions, this year’s grade examination certificate and evaluation form is estimated to arrive by the end of February. Thank you for your patience.

- Please register online HERE.

⬦ EXAM RECORDING 考級視頻錄製
- Examinees may recording using a smartphone or video camera. Recording MUST BE IN THE FOLLOWING FORMATS:
⬩ MP4 (preferred), MOV. Please DO NOT submit any other format.
⬩Video must have both video and audio (in sync). Video quality is at least 720p. 1080p preferred.
考生可以利用智能手機或者錄像機拍攝考級視頻。視頻必是以下格式:

⬩视频既有视频又有音频 (视频和音频同步)。 视频质量至少为 720p 或 1080p。 - Before your recording, please ensure there are no distractions in your surroundings, such as noise, music stands, or anything that may disrupt your video.
在录制之前，请保持安静和干净的录制环境。录制时候不能有杂音，谱架，等等。 - At the beginning of your video, you must display your exam permit close to the camera and clearly for at least 3 seconds.
錄製開始時，請清晰展示准考證，至少 3 秒。 - Please record BOTH exam pieces (etude and music) in one video. Failure to include either one piece will automatically result in a failing score.

ABOUT
CCOM Chinese Instrument Grade Exam
The Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) of China is China’s most senior musical institute offering accredited examinations to applicants. The Standard Grade Examination Committee of the CCOM has the mandate of expanding musical education and its stylistic tradition, and it provides authoritative musical achievement level assessment for overseas Chinese instrumental musicians and students.
The examination material is based on the assessment criteria utilized by the CCOM. The materials which are compiled by highly experienced experts have an increasing level of difficulty with an emphasis on the core techniques as the principles of the assessment. Students who follow the basic increments of the learning material will find themselves steadily progressing, reaching new levels of achievement.
To expand the culture of Chinese music, the CCOM, in collaboration with Galaxy Arts Center , will host a Chinese Instrument Grade Examination in the United States. Candidates will be tested by examiners from CCOM of Beijing on material compiled by the CCOM, and subsequently will be issued a Certificate of Accomplishment by the CCOM. The aim of this collaboration is to raise the professional quality of Chinese music performance, and to encourage the local development of Chinese music.

中央音乐学院（Central Conservatory of Music）是中国最高音乐学府。为弘扬中华民族音乐文化，中央音乐学院自1989年起先后在多个国家和地区开展考级工作，本着普及音乐教育的宗旨，以严谨的学术作风和优良传统，为海内外业余学习中国乐器的音乐人士，提供专业权威的水平鉴定与考核。
为推动和加强中国与美国洛杉矶地区的文化交流与合作，美国洛杉矶地区的考级工作由Galaxy Arts Center（美国银河艺术中心）负责组织与实施，协助推动当地中乐发展。Galaxy Arts Center（美国银河艺术中心）是洛杉矶地区唯一协办单位。
中央音乐学院是中国艺术院校中的一所国家重点高校，是在中国及海外享有很高声誉的音乐学府。近几年来，中央音乐学院除在中国国内布局考点外，还在加拿大、英国、日本、韩国、新加坡、马来西亚等国家以及香港、澳门地区设立了考级网点，并取得了显著成效。
在美国，尤其在洛杉矶，学习国乐的孩童越来越多。为了使学习国乐的人真正了解和感受到自己学习的路径是否正确、存在哪些问题、该如何改进等事宜，我方银河少年艺术团联合中央音乐学院在美国设立了考级委员会，并提供权威的水平鉴定、开展考核及培训工作。考级委员会以普及音乐教育、培育更多音乐人才为宗旨，凭借严谨的艺术作风与专业的教学实力，为洛杉矶学习国乐的音乐学习者搭建最优质的平台。

The examination levels are classified into grades one (1) to nine (9) and Performance Certificate level.

* When registering, applicants must provide their English name, Chinese/native-language name (if applicable), gender, date of birth, mobile phone number, chosen instrument/subject, grade level, exam song titles, mailing address, and the name and contact details of their instructor.
Certificate details will be generated based on the registration information provided by the candidate. Once generated, this information cannot be altered; therefore, please carefully verify all registration details.

Examination and Certification 考试及发证
Exam Format: Video Submission.
Exam Date: Video submissions are due on November 22, 2026.
Exam Location: Galaxy Arts Center, USA (Online).
Results Announcement (Video Format): Approximately two months after the conclusion of the exam. In the event of peak examination periods (such as during China’s winter and summer breaks or statutory holidays) the release of results may be postponed at the discretion of the organizers.
Certificate Issuance: Approximately two months after the announcement of results.

Examination Material 考级教材
Only the Examination book (Overseas version) published by the Central Conservatory of Music Examination Board can be used.

Examination Fee 考级费用
Exam Fee varies by subject level. CCOM Board reserves the right to change the examination fee without prior notice.

EXAMINATION RULES

All examinees are strictly required to use the official grading exam materials published by the Central Conservatory of Music.
所有考生一律应使用正版中央音乐学院考级教材。

Videos must be recorded in landscape orientation, with a minimum resolution of 720P and maximum of 1080P. The frame rate must not exceed 30 fps, and the file size must not exceed 300 MB. Rerecording or copying of existing footage is prohibited.
视频拍摄横屏录制，尺寸不低于720P，不高于1080P，视频帧率不大于30fps，视频文件不大于300M。不可翻录。

The recording background should be free of distractions. Examinees must be dressed appropriately; formal wear or performance attire is recommended.
录制背景应干净整洁，考生须着装整齐，建议穿正装或演出服。

The examinee (at least the upper body) and the entire instrument must appear within the video frame.
考生（至少上半身）以及完整的乐器须出现在镜头内。

Each examinee must first hold their exam permit in front of the camera, and then perform the pieces sequentially according to the order of the repertoire.
考试时，考生须先在镜头前手持准考证，然后按照曲目顺序依次演奏。

Candidates must perform the full exam pieces to completion. Any omission may be deemed a failure, and no appeals will be accepted.
考生应准备全部规定应考曲目，不得缺项，缺项视为不通过，不接受申诉。考生报考曲目应与考试实际演奏曲目保持一致，否则视为不规范，不接受申诉。

Besides the etude (practice piece), all pieces must be memorized (18 and older examinees are exempt). No sheet music, stands, or any other items that may serve as aids is allowed. (For songs where sheet music is permitted, the music may be placed only while that specific piece is performed.) Failure to adhere to this rule may result in a failure and no appeals will be accepted.
除练习曲外, 所有专业的全部考级内容一律要求背谱演奏(年满18周岁以上的考生可例外)。在考生可视范围内不得摆放任何乐谱或纸张、写字板等疑似提示考试内容的物品(允许看谱的曲目，仅在演奏该曲目时允许将乐谱放置于考生面前)否则成绩将判为“不符合规范”, 不接受申诉。

The exam songs must be performed using the corresponding instrument registered, otherwise the result will be considered a failure, and no appeals will be accepted.
所考内容必须使用各专业对应的乐器来演奏，否则成绩为“不符合规范”，不接受申诉。

For all instruments, the use of live accompaniment or backing tracks is strictly prohibited during examination. The use of mutes are also prohibited.
各专业考级时一律不得使用伴奏或伴奏音频。所有专业均不得使用弱音器。

Examinees applying for the Performance Certificate in any instrument must hold the highest-level (9) certificate in that instrument; a copy of this highest-level certificate must be submitted at the time of application.
各专业演奏级考生必须具有本专业最高级证书，报考时须附上最高级证书副本。

The exam is conducted in Mandarin Chinese. If interpretation services are needed, please indicate this at the time of registration.
考试以中文普通话进行，若考生在考试时需要传译服务，请在报名时注明。
❖ 本次考试各专业一至演奏级口试部分免除考核。
❖ 古筝、二胡、琵琶、竹笛、笙、扬琴、柳琴、中阮、唢呐专业考试要求：
自选一首练习曲（可看谱）；自选一首乐曲（背谱）。
